What JOY. I sat with a group of friends on the grass to enjoy some fireworks. As night fell and rockets soared I looked down and saw my beautiful feet in flip flops.
I hadn't noticed that beside me was a friend who forsook his flip flops completely. I smiled to myself that here I was just enjoying his company with no hiding or worries. Just free to be. God is good. :)

Hi :)
I've been wanting to write to you long time ago, I don't know why I haven't. First of all I wanna say huge cognates on your toe it looks amazing really it does, your left foot even looks prettier to me than your normal foot.
I wanted to ask you some questions and I hope you answer me :)
I went under the one stage lengthening procedure on both of my feet, I had brachy on both feet. I'm not quit happy with the new length of my toe they both are still much shorter that the third toe in each foot. My doctor told me that it will grow about 3mm each toe cos my toes were compressed with the k wire for six weeks, and that it will take about six month to do so. I'm now in my fifth month and untile now I haven't notice any change in length, and I'm started to get worried. My question is when ur toe grow about 2,5 mm was it in the sixth month or you noticed that it was growing earlier.
And my second question is did it grow even longer after the six month, coz from your picture I can tell that It grow about 1mm or more did u re measured your toe length recently?
Hello! I had the same brachy surgery 8/20/13 but on my right foot. My name is Cynthia, live in AZ. I have found so much comfort in your blog, as I write this I feel tears coming on. You know how emotional it is & not to mention that I'm certain I'm in the "emotional" phase of this journey. Can't drive, stuck in the house, etc. I depend on my husband for a lot but so thankful I have him here. Being such an independent person this is like torture but at the same time..oh my gosh...my toe is going to look "normal" & amazing!! I don't mean to write a book here but I also have to say..being in it now, I wish I knew you then to help you(even though we are so far, lol) & my heart hurts to read you pretty much were on your own. I would definitely have cracked if I lived on my own but you tackled it head on like a champ! Two more thoughts & I promise I'm done..I think your feet (toe) looks spectacular & I love it!! Heart felt CONGRATS to you ;) Lastly, if you're up to it, I would love to compare notes, pick your brain a bit with any free time you may have. I also have a blog: hidethefoot.blogspot.com. When/if you have a moment, my email is on there or you can obviously comment on here I suppose. Hope you're better than fantastic & hope to hear from you soon. (the main email I use is: cyncastl7@yahoo)
Britney, I answered you a while ago, but for some reason my replies are not being recorded. (odd and frustrating). Quickly I'll tell you that on my timeline, the gained length expressed at 23 weeks still stands today.
Cyn, thanks so much for writing. I'm fine now. Out and about. I'm not sure I'd be helpful outside of my blog with details because as time goes by you forget. That's why I blogged it in detail because I knew that would happen and I'd be of no use to anyone. LOL. I added your blog to the Correction Stories to the right. Congratulations on your surgery! So wonderful that we have options today. :) Let me know how you're getting on. TTFN
