Last Tips Before Surgery

Howdy,
Well, it's about that time! ;0)

Before surgery you should take plenty before pictures of your foot. At least weight-bearing and non-weight bearing. Curled toes also, as you want to be able to track how much the surgery affected your flexibility/mobility.

Feet should be clean with no nail polish. On the day of surgery you should use no lotions, oils or perfumes.

Another thing I did for myself is to not completely remove the calluses beneath my feet. I could be wrong, but I feel that these are clues for my surgeon of how I walk. This should tell if I'm favoring a particular side. My surgeon seemed surprised to see the extent of them before. So while I've smoothed them out a bit, I felt that having them is a good source of communication for my surgeon to know how my Brachy and Bunions have affected how I walk, etc.

I'm on my way! Ciao! ;o)
