2 Year Post-Op — UPDATE VIDEO

In this video I discuss outstanding issues, the excitement of my first yoga class, and many things you just don't think about before this surgery. When I was researching to do this surgery I read nothing about how it affects your pinky toe, or how the 4th toe still remains different from your other toes. Watch the video to know how.

(I'm hoping doctors doing this surgery will consider my comments as feedback. The comments will help them realize the after affects with one-stage surgery and perhaps begin experimenting with new methods to remediate such issues.)

This photo is to demonstrate something I discuss in the video about the 4th toe.

After the video go to "Labels" on the right column of Blog and click on "Sciatic" and "Congestion". Those posts will help with understanding some of my discussion in the video.

Talk to you soon!

What a great blog. I've thoroughly enjoyed reviewing this over and over again. I've got the time, I'm second week after fixator surgery. Miles to go but I'm encouraged to keep my eyes....on the prize!!! Thanks for all your efforts!

Your journey has been SO inspirational. I read your blog many times since I've gone through my surgery, which was one stage as well. I've experienced may of the same issues as you, but am getting better. I'm now 3.5 months post opt and stil have a while to go, but extremely optimistic. Unfortunately, I brachy on both feet and facing a second surgery, and quite disappointed due to me not gaining the full length on my left foot, but keeping my head up. I'd like to know through this journey, if you've come in contact with anyone that has experienced not gaining full toe length. If so, what was the outcome? I'll be going back for a follow up appointment and plan on talking with my dr. on options. Look forward to hearing back. Btw, your foot looks great, and thanks for sharing. This blog has really kept me going!

Jordan,
Congrats on your surgery! I've not come in contact with anyone as you've described. But I'm sure some of the stories in my right column might fit the bill, as perfect length is seldom achieved with the surgery methods out there at this time. I didn't get perfect length but what I have will do. You'll find on my blog that I had to make a choice to obsess about it or move on. I choose to move on and put an end to my feet issues. Off the top of my head, "Mariia" is such a case I think. Perhaps her blog will give you what you are looking for and there are ways to translate it online I'm sure. Thanks for following my Blog. I'm so glad it's offered some help to you! :)
