Right foot— 1st Post-op visit

It's been three days since surgery. Nothing out of the ordinary. Had  xrays taken. Had much of the bandages replaced. Tape stays.

Like before, desolvable stitches were used everywhere except the bunionette area (pinkie). (My best guess is because the skin there is thicker and needs stronger sutchers?)

No cleaning was done at this time. In two days I go back home. In two weeks, if all looks well, my post-op doctor, Dr. Yes, will remove the sutchers from the bunionette.

Less swelling this time around without the Brachy surgery. ;o)

Well this was it, I'm not likely to see Dr. West or his staff again. ;0(  We hugged and said our goodbyes, but not before taking a photo together. ;0)

He is recommending I have an orthodic insole made. He charges about $400 for a custom graphite one. One that is not custom, he says runs about $80.

This recommendation is to reduce normal foot pain. I'll have to look into it. I wonder if my insurance covers any of the cost? (update: turns out they don't.)

Ciao.
